Blessings and well wishes to the mothers, grandmothers, wives, sisters, daughters, aunts, nieces, mothers-in-law, daughters-in-law and the beautiful women in our lives who selflessly and courageously do everything for their children. Those of us who are fortunate enough to have a matriarchal presence in our lives, it is our obligation to reach out, express your deepest gratitude for the incredible sacrifices they made and ensure they know how much we love them. For others with mothers who are no longer with us, know that they continue to watch over us and we can certainly extend heavenly Mother’s Day wishes to each of them.

As beautiful a gesture it is to bestow the most important ladies in our lives with flowers and gifts on this special day, there are other ways to pay tribute to the boundless love and kindness. Donate to your local emergency shelter, second stage housing agency, breast cancer support centre, ovarian cancer research foundation or other charities that enhance the lives of moms in your community. Please remember to support non-profits who are helping mothers and families devastated by the war in Ukraine like the UN Refugee Agency’s Ukraine Emergency Appeal or UNICEF.

The individuals that we have become, the successes we have achieved and the lives we have enjoyed have all been made possible through the unwavering care, support, wisdom, warmth, values, comfort, safety, and care that our mothers and motherly figures unconditionally gifted us since our arrival in this world. To each we extend a bouquet of love and we say Happy Mother’s Day!
