As Peter Cottontail comes hopping along the Bunny Trail, I want to wish all of you a very Happy Easter! Many of us are now able to gather safely with our families for the first time in two years since the pandemic is slowly coming under control. We hope that you thoroughly cherish reuniting with your loved ones because it truly has been a long time coming.

However, when you are searching for eggs and making bonnets this Easter weekend, it is also important to remember there are families and communities in Ukraine who are currently enduring unfathomably horrific experiences. Life as they have known it has been destroyed. Death and strife surround these people and the uncertainty of their future is terrifying.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as you celebrate with friends and family, and let’s hope for a swift and peaceful resolution to this atrocity. Be kind to one another in the meantime and please consider supporting charities like The UN Refugee Agency or the Canada-Ukraine Foundation that extend support to refugees fleeing in search of a better life.
